Pearl Embellished Shoes

Pearls have always been a symbol of elegance and timeliness. Aside from being a beautiful feminine accessory they’ve been used by many designers as an embellishment on clothing, collars, bags and lately shoes. Designers like Chanel (link here) and Nicholas Kirkwood (link here) used pearls in their shoe designs for many years (as seen worn by me in the past). But when Miu Miu embellished their slides and flats (link here), the trend became so popular then fast fashion brands like Zara created theirs, they quickly were sold out everywhere (you can get them on ebay link here).

I got these beautiful slides from River Island and these sandals from Jeffrey Campbell

Netting and Mesh

Are you on this trend yet? I’ve always liked mesh and netting clothing for layering and I am glad it’s in trend now, which means it’s available and affordable from fast fashion retailers. Here are the links to my look (my shirt is old) and other items I recently bought:

Boots (I can’t believe this price myself and they are super comfortable)

Shirts I like : Asos / NastyGal / PixieMarket /

Dresses I like : Self-Portrait 1   / Self-Portrait 2 / Revolve X by NBD  /

Maxi dress and straw bag

Love the look of maxi ruffle dress with a trendy straw or wooden bag. My snake print ruffle dress is by Roberto Cavalli and I have it for years and a blue dress is by Zara from last season, but I like these ruffles dresses from Free People for a similar feel, I actually want to buy all three :

Wrap ruffles blue dress / White midi dress / All day Maxi dress

Round straw bag I bought in Cartagena at the local boutique, but I sound a similar here and here and Cult Gaia bags in many colors here.

See my other post for the looks with this bag.

Best of 2016

Year 2016 has been an amazing year for me. I am grateful for my loving family and beautiful kids, for having laughs and good times with my husband, for all inspiring destinations I traveled to, for new people who entered my life, for all friends who I enjoyed the company with. I am grateful for all internal realizations and discoveries, for all opportunities and adventures that Life grants me.  I see beauty in every day life and I want to do it all in style that is true to myself, whether it is walking the streets of a busy New York or relaxing at the beach with my kids, seeing the sunset in Tulum or running the lavender fields in Provence.

I am grateful to be able to share it and I’d like to thank you all for following along. Here are some of my favorite fashion moments in 2016. Cheers to 2017!

Blanket Scarf

Feeling festive for the holidays with these plaid scarfs. Use it as a blanket on a cozy day at home or as a scarf over turtleneck or leather jacket to keep you warm and stylish. It makes a great travel companion and became a staple in my wardrobe.

My picks: COS / JCrew / ASOS / Nordstrom

Office Holiday party

Holiday party season is on and it’s my favorite time of the year. For me it all starts with office holiday parties, followed by Christmas celebration at home with my family and then New Years party with my friends. I’ll share with you some of my looks and where I shop.

For office holiday party you can always wear a classic black dress and accessorize it with a nice necklace and a clutch, or you can try wearing different textures like velvet and metallic pleats.

Shop the look: My velvet blazer is vintage by La Roc and maybe too open for the office but similar from Jcrew and TopShop

Pleated skirt from Asos  or NastyGal or Zara
